Signature Harley-Davidson is seeking an associate who can provide prompt, dependable and high-quality assistance to all employees of the Service Department. The applicant must have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude and be eager to learn.

Major Responsibilities

Helping Service Personnel

  • Ability to accept and follow directions.
  • Help Service Department employees to run an efficient and customer oriented department.
  • Wash Motorcycles. Ensure they are cleaner than when customer dropped them off.
  • Assist Technicians with keeping the service department clean and organized.
  • Assist with new motorcycle un-crating and set-up.
  • Maintain and periodically check inventory of charged motorcycle batteries.
  • Deliver service bikes as needed.
  • Re-fill stock of oil, electrolyte material, or other supplies, as needed.
  • Assist technicians or other dealership personnel, when asked. 

Customer Service

  • Greet external customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Handle requests quickly, and courteously.

Other Duties

Qualifications

  • Ability to accept and follow directions.
  • Demonstrated willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to our insurer.

Physical Demands

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. 
  • Requires the use of both hands. 
  • Frequently requires to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, handle tools, and lift up to 50 lbs. of material
  • Occasionally requires the ability to balance and push a 900 lb. motorcycle.

Working Conditions

  • Frequently works near moving mechanical parts. 
  • Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
  • Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.

Signature Harley-Davidson is seeking an experienced motorcycle service advisor who can provide prompt, dependable and high-quality vehicle sales to our customers. The applicant must have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude and be eager to learn.

Major Responsibilities

  • Service Department Operations
  • Assist Service department manager in maintaining a smooth-running efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnose problems accurately, and clearly describe them on the repair order.
  • Estimate costs and completion times at point of sale. Clearly communicate them to customers.
  • Assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and current resource utilization.
  • Review work-in-progress to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Occasionally assist technicians when they are having difficulty performing service work.
  • Determine correct part numbers on repair orders and assist the parts department with picking and posting of parts before job starts.
  • Perform cashier functions, as needed.
  • Make estimates for internal and wreck repairs.
  • Open & close all customer paid, warranty, and internal repair orders.
  • Follow procedures for quick and efficient handling of warranty items, including and proper storage of these items.
  • Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for service and parts management
  • Other duties as assigned.

Customer Service

  • Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Promptly notify customers of any changes, delays, or additional work needed.
  • Give special attention to repeat repairs to ensure the situation is corrected.
  • Avoid making commitments which cannot (or likely will not) be met. Set customers’ expectations to a level where they will likely be met.

Qualifications

Model superior customer service behavior for all interactions with customers and employees.

Knowledge and experience with servicing Harley-Davidson/Buell motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to our insurer.

Must hold a motorcycle endorsement or must be willing to get within 60 days of employment

Occasionally requires the ability to balance and push a motorcycle.

Motorcycle Sales Associate

Signature Harley-Davidson is seeking an experienced motorcycle sales associate who can provide prompt, dependable and high-quality vehicle sales to our customers. The applicant must have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude and be eager to learn.

Major responsibilities

  • Complete and stay updated on training materials
  • Attain new and used sales quotas as agreed upon with the sales manager
  • Use floor time effectively to meet customer needs and solicit sales of all products
  • Present the features and benefits of all products to customers
  • Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all paperwork
  • Greet customer immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to get along with a broad customer base
  • High energy level
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated “closing skills”
  • Knowledge and experience with sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycle and products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to our insurer.
  • Must hold a motorcycle endorsement or must be wiling to get within 60 days of employment
  • Must be able to stage motorcycle outside and bring back into the dealership at the end of the day when weather permits
  • Must be able to demonstrate the operation of the motorcycle to the customer
